Africa Biosystems Limited (ABL) is pleased to announce an exclusive agreement with High Tech Detection Systems (HTDS).  HTDS specializes in the distribution and maintenance of high tech detection systems for security solutions, product quality control solutions for food, life sciences, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, optoelectronics components, scientific and analytical instruments, and electrochemical fields, among others. HTDS is based in France and operates in more than 30 countries throughout the world. 
 
ABL Managing Director Yasmin Verjee says "We are excited about our new partnership with HTDS. AFRICA BIOSYSTEMS LIMITED AWARDED EXCLUSIVITY FOR CAMAG, A WORLD LEADER IN PLANAR CHROMATOGRAPHY

Africa Biosystems Limited (ABL) is pleased to announce an exciting exclusive agreement with Camag, a leading manufacturer of instrumentation for Planar Chromatography. Camag has developed state-of-the-art instrumentation and software for Modern Thin Layer Chromatography for use in modern laboratories. Planar Chromatography is used in clinical applications, food and feedstuff, forensics, environment, pharmaceutical applications, herbals and cosmetics.

AFRICA BIOSYSTEMS LIMITED AND APPLIED BIOSYSTEMS ( PART OF LIFE TECHNOLOGIES) CO-SPONSORS MAJOR PUBLIC HEALTH CONFERENCE IN MOMBASA, KENYA

Africa Biosystems Limited (ABL) is committed to fighting diseases on the continent and  saving lives.  ABL, along with Applied Biosystems (Part of Life Technologies) is co-sponsoring the joint third African Epidemiology network (AFENET) and Public Health Interventions Network (TEPHINET) regional scientific conference.   It will be held in Mombasa, Kenya from August 31 to September 4 2009.

The theme of the conference is "One Health" and will deal with the Burden of Disease (HIV, Tuberculosis, Malaria), Zoonosis, and non-communicable diseases.The conference will also address cutting edge vaccine development, roles of laboratory in public health investigations and interventions, migration and disease, and the impact of climate change on emerging and re-emerging disease.
