Sales
- Sales Specialist Molecular and Cell Biology (MCB)
- Sales Specialist Mass Spectroscopy (MSS)
Position Objectives:
- Responsible for the sale of instruments and consumables, software, accessories, training and service contracts in the stated geographic territory in a manner that positively reflects the firm’s image and brand.
- Achieve sales targets set, both quarterly and annually. Provide the company with relevant market information for the development of strategies on products. Impact directly upon the sales of products now and the development of future opportunities.
Main Tasks
- Compete for all existing and develops new sales opportunities within the territory to meet or exceed plan. Ensures that all necessary resources needed are used efficiently and effectively in order to close sales in favour of the Company.
- Maintain and develop productive customer relationships on short and long term. Develop strategic key accounts by making best use of strategic selling methods and tools available and by drawing on and bringing together internal resources and stakeholders.
- Gathers, analyzes and delivers information from the field to allow the company to develop strategies and products appropriate to the market. Information does include forecasting and lost order reporting as well as competitive information. Provides direct information on client needs to marketing in order to improve product promotion activities.
- As the Local Sales Specialist, provide local assistance on the specific applications with competitive/product/ application information.
Education, Knowledge & Business Expertise.
- Academic degree (BSc) or has equivalent level of experience in Life Sciences.
- Deep technical and product knowledge.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Very good command of English language.
- Computer skills in office, word and outlook.
- Valid driver’s license.
The job may require travel.
Applications Specialist
- Applications Support Specialist: MCB
- Applications Support Specialist: MSS
- Acquire and maintain practical and scientific knowledge for support of customers, Sales and Service. Keep updated on the scientific community.
- Provide pre-sales support to Sales by customer visits, product/application demonstrations, seminars/lectures/workshops, sample analysis.
- Post Sales Support, in-house and on-site training, visiting customers and telephone support.
- Preparation & Delivery of User Meetings. Preparation and delivery of customer training. Follow up support to Customers.
Main Position Objectives
- Responsible for the provision of telephone, in-house and on-site technical support and training on Company products, thereby contributing substantially to customer satisfaction.
- Support sales in the achievement of the orders plan by provision in a timely and professional manner demonstrations, sample analysis and technical information.
- Responsible for provision of internal technical support and training.
Main Tasks
- Provide feedback to local and international Sales & Marketing on competitive activity, market conditions and product opportunities
- Liaise with international network in resolution of customer problems. Also provide feedback on technical problems and their respective solutions.
- Involved in new product testing.
Education, Knowledge & Business Expertise
- Language and Computer Skills
- MSc or equivalent experience in appropriate science subject.
- High degree of technical competence & confidence and ability to interface with the scientific community at all levels.
- Excellent communication & presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel (internationally).
- Computer and internet knowledge.
- Fluent English language skills - oral and written
